Hans Lundy

Snowboard & Skier Illustrator
Hans Lundy was born in Haiti, Por Tau Prince on October 25, 1992. His family came to the United States of America in 1999 where he grew up and spent majority of his childhood in East Orange, NJ and Irvington. He has been trained and mentored by the post-modern figurative artist, Williams Coronado. Coronado exposed Hans to his ideas on using the human body as a vehicle for creative expression in an aesthetic, psychological, and philosophical format. Hans Lundy has embraced these ideas and has added the aesthetics of surrealism to create an art that is his personal view of how he sees and understands the world and art. After years of perfecting his painting style and finding his voice using the medium, he has ventured out into murals, applying graffiti techniques and theories into his work. Simultaneously, he has been developing his craft as self-taught illustrator. Hans has studied the greats that have come before him, while staying true to his artistic style. His work can be political, cultural, historical, philosophical, and even psychological. It is the distinctive characters and figures that makes Hans Lundy’s work so impressionable; perhaps his work psychologically reminds us of the things humanity can improve on.
